Crossword Scrambler by Alsoft Publishing Co. is an Android crossword game that implements some new features to make the old recipe fresh, but unfortunately fails in the process.

Graphics

The visuals for Crossword Scrambler follow very simplistic guidelines. You have the grid in the middle where the words are arranged and an abstract background. To be fair though, there really isn’t much that can be done to make a crossword game visually appealing. If you are playing a crossword game for the visuals, you may be playing it for the wrong reasons.

Gameplay

The gameplay for Crossword Scrambler is quite simple. You start of with a grid filled with random letters and you need to move them around to make words. It at times appears to have elements of a match-three game, without the fun popping sound. When you move them around and start matching up letters to from words, then you get points. Like I said, simple.

Performance

Due to the lack of intensive visual elements and simple gameplay, the performance for Crossword Scrambler  is very fluid. We didn’t notice any lag or hiccups while playing the game, and everything appeared to run as it should have.

Final Thoughts

Crossword Scrambler is unfortunately another Crossword game on the Play Store that attempts to impress but fails to do so. If you wish to give the game a try for yourself, you can do so using the link below.
