My favorite painting of all time is A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat which resides in the Art Institute of Chicago. It took Seurat over two years to complete this serene painting, using tiny dots (pointillism), and I love it because it represents a peaceful day in the park with not a care in the world.
Art is beautiful because it is everlasting and one person’s trash may be another person’s masterpiece. Art is for your eye to decide if you like it or not.
