I’m an icon addict to the point of where I really need some serious intervention. But don’t call anyone quite yet, because you might just enjoy what I’m fixing to show you. Once you see what I have to show off, then you can decide if a phone call is warranted or not.

That’s right, I’m going to show you some of the newest, hottest, most amazing icon packs in the Google Play Store today that you need to have installed on your mobile device. These icons packs will make your phone scream with pleasure and will get everyone asking; “What awesome icon pack is that you’re using?”

You can check out some of our older posts on this same subject here: Android Icons You Must Have as well as my other three editions of this post here: Icon Packs You Must Have(Round One) here: Icon Packs You Must Have(Round Two) and here: Icon Packs You Must Have(Round Three).

The good thing about the icon packs that I’m going to show you today is that they are so very simple to install and easy to set on your device. And when you do get them set on your device, they will theme your homescreen icons as well as all of your icons in your app drawer. That way everything looks nice, neat and uniform. Now, without further adieu, let’s get to all the jaw dropping awesomeness that you’ve come here to see.

Distress’d by Kyle Laubscher

Distress'd Icon Banner

Let’s start off with Distress’d by Kyle Laubscher which is an icon pack with a vintage, worn out kind of look. It’s a look for icons that several have tried that I’ve seen, but Kyle really nails it with Distress’d. These icons definitely look old and worn out, as if they’ve been around for a while, yet they have their full color still intact.

Priced at just a single buck you get well over 1,600 HD icons sized at 192 x 192, as well as you get an icon mask/icon back so all your icons have the same style and feel. Very well worth $1.00 just for the amount of icons you get in this pack.

Blawb by Inder Deep

Blawb Icon Banner

Inder Deep named this set of icons Blawb simply because of the little green character you see on the left of the image above. The icons themselves don’t really look like blobs(or Blawbs as it’s called) as they are more like glass icons. Regardless of the name, they are absolutely beautiful icons and will really make your homescreen look fantastic.

The Blawb icon pack comes with over 1,800 themed icons, 25 HD default wallpapers as well as 90 HD alternate wallpapers, a few Zooper Widgets, dynamic calendar support and more. To get all this you’ll need to spend NOTHING! Yes that’s right. You get all that absolutely FREE!

Diskat by Pratyush Mishra

Diskat Icon Banner

Diskat by Pratyush Mishra is probably one of the most unique icon packs you’ll find on the market today. There’s really nothing like that I have found so far. As you can see, they are a squared icon with rounded corners, and totally custom graphics for each and every icon in the pack.

For about $1.15 you now get over 1,000 HD custom made icons, a few select wallpapers, dynamic calendar support and of course the icon mask/back support. On top of that, you get constant updates as I’ve had this pack installed for about 3 weeks now and I know I’ve gotten probably 8 or 9 updates during that time.

Buttons by Samer Zayer

Buttons Icon Banner

Samer Zayer has been around for a while now and done quite a few icon packs that I really like. His new Buttons icons are no different when it comes to that. Round, glossy icons with a nice little raised edge and a hint of a glass sheen to them makes Buttons a superb looking icon set.

You can pick these up for just $1.49 and for that price you’ll get yourself 1,100+ custom made HD icons, a ton of wallpapers that you can access via the cloud, an analog clock widget, Muzei Wallpaper support and much more.

Baryu by Lizandro Flores

Baryu Icon Banner

Next up on the list is Baryu by Lizandro Flores which again is a different type of icon that you’ll find anywhere else in the Play Store today. With a bubbly type background behind the app icon itself, in various colors, on a squared icon with rounded corners is what makes Baryu one of a kind.

Currently Baryu only has 450+ icons, but that number is growing weekly as Lizandro is working on building a much larger icon list for all of his packs. You can grab it from the Play Store for only .99 cents, and you will also get 8 HD wallpapers to go along with it.

Vion by Gaurav Seth

Vion Icon Banner

Gaurav Seth has been doing icons for a while and his newest set Vion is some of his best work yet. As you can see by the image above and below, Vion doesn’t use an icon mask or icon back as the icons are simply the shape of the app icon themselves. Then throw in the vibrant colors he chooses to use and we’ve got an excellent icon pack here.

Vion is available on the Play Store for $1.99 and I know that’s going to sound expensive, but let me tell you what you get for that price. You get an astounding 2,375+ HD custom made icons, 15 icon backs, 10 folder back icons, 57 HD wallpapers, Muzei Wallpaper support, an icon dashboard, and much more. All of that for just $1.99 which isn’t bad at all if you ask me. And one more thing to add, is that Gaurav has a matching set of Zooper Widgets by the same name that you can download and install, for FREE.

LunarUI by Vishal Kashi

Lunar UI Icon Banner

LunarUI by Vishal Kashi is next on the list and it’s a set that I really like a lot. Again, it’s a squared icon with rounded corners, but what really sets LunarUI apart from the rest is the custom icon work that Vishal has put into LunarUI. You just get different app icons for those every day apps that we all use, and it’s good to see things mixed up a little bit.

If you act quick, you can grab LunarUI from the Play Store right now for only .99 cents, which is a sale price. That .99 cents will get you over 750 custom made HD icons, 9 HD wallpapers, icon back support, icon request tool and frequent updates so that the list of icons continues to grow.

Curve by Hiten Soni

Curve Icon Banner

Hiten Soni is a new developer that I just recently stumbled upon and his latest icon pack he’s created is called Curve. As you see, Curve is slightly different as well from most icon packs that we see today. You have the app icon on a colored background, then behind that, slightly tilted to offset it, is a slightly darker color of the app icon background. This gives it the curved look which is really unique.

Curve is priced at just $1.67 and for that small price you get 1,200+ custom HD icons, 150+ HD wallpapers, Muzei Wallpaper support, icon masking, dynamic calendar support, many alternative icons and much more. For all of that stuff, $1.67 is a darn cheap price.

Bar 2.1 by Joshua Masih

Bar 2.1 Icon Banner

Joshua Masih is one of my favorite developers simply because I talk to him quite a bit and he reminds me a lot of myself. He does so in the sense that he works on many different icon packs all at the same time yet he ends up releasing them all unlike I originally thought he might when I first stumbled across him. His latest, Bar 2.1 is actually a remake of his previous Bar icons. While Bar icons were superb, Bar 2.1 blows them out of the water. Just as their name suggests, they are little rectangle bars with superb attention to details on the app icons.

For around $1.68 you can pick up Bar 2.1 and for that price you will get 880+ HD icons, 30 beautiful HD wallpapers, icon request tool and more great stuff. Well worth the price especially since Joshua is very good at keeping things updated and is constantly adding new icons to all of his sets he currently has.

Tha Glassik by ThaPhlash

ThaGlassik Icon Banner

Last, but certainly not least, is the God Father of all Android icon makers, ThaPhlash with my favorite set of all time by him, Tha Glassik. One of, if not the, first transparent icon packs I ever saw was Tha Glassik and I instantly knew these were a hit. Currently Tha Glassik is only available in round, however, rest assured that ThaPhlash is probably going to be making the other 3 shapes, triangle, oval and square, available soon. As you can see, these icons look just like a piece of glass with an app icon etched on them. Lots of detail in this set.

Tha Glassik can be yours for just $1.99 and what that gets you is 1,000+ HD highly custom icons, a few custom wallpapers, dynamic calendar support and a few other goodies along the way. Definitely worth the price in my eye from the God Father of Android icons.

Final Thoughts

Please note that these are some of my favorite icon packs currently and ones that I suggest everyone take a close look at. One thing I do ask is that if you purchase any or all of these from the Play Store, please make sure to leave a few words of encouragement for the developer praising them on their hard work that they have put into making these icons and making our mobile devices so amazing looking.

Also don’t forget to leave a 5-star rating. There’s really no reason why you shouldn’t as they all certainly deserve it. If you have any issues, please hit the Email Developer button near the bottom of the Play Store listing and I can almost guarantee you that you’ll get a response from the developer and they will help you in any way they possibly can as they want to earn that 5-star rating from you.

This is something that’s very important and it only encourages them to continue doing what they are doing to make our devices that much more awesome in the near future.

Let us know in the comments what you think of any or all of these icons and if you have some you’d like for us to showcase, let us know that too and we will certainly take a look at them.
