I’m an icon addict to the point of where I really need some serious intervention. But don’t call anyone quite yet, because you might just enjoy what I’m fixing to show you. Once you see what I have to show off, then you can decide if a phone call is warranted or not.

That’s right, I’m going to show you some of the newest, hottest, most amazing icon packs in the Google Play Store today that you need to have installed on your mobile device. These icons packs will make your phone scream with pleasure and will get everyone asking; “What awesome icon pack is that you’re using?”

You can check out some of our older posts on this same subject here: Android Icons You Must Have as well as my other two editions of this post here: Icon Packs You Must Have(Round One) and here: Icon Packs You Must Have(Round Two)

The good thing about the icon packs that I’m going to show you today is that they are so very simple to install and easy to set on your device. And when you do get them set on your device, they will theme your homescreen icons as well as all of your icons in your app drawer. That way everything looks nice, neat and uniform. Now, without further adieu, let’s get to all the jaw dropping awesomeness that you’ve come here to see.

Aloha by Will Windham(StealthyChief)

Aloha Icon Banner

Aloha by StealthyChief is an exceptionally well put together icon pack of over 1,650 custom made icons with a retro and tropical style that were influenced by the beautiful scenery of Hawaii. Will Windham has done an exceptional job of custom making so many of the icons majority of us use on a daily basis, and with the unique colors, icon images and everything else, Aloha is just another example of who much he pays attention to detail.

Priced at $1.99, Aloha gives you the icon masking feature as well as 10 HD wallpapers, Muzei Wallpaper support, support for most of the known launchers and it even gets weekly updates every Friday.

Astero by Ekky Pramana(PinkNoze Studio)

Astero Icon Banner

PinkNoze Studio has been around for a bit, but Astero is the first icon pack of theirs that I’ve used. What might appear as your standard every day round icon with a shadow, Astero, by Ekky Pramana isn’t exactly that. Yes, it’s round and it has a shadow, but the shadow isn’t a long shadow going from the middle of the icon to the bottom corner so to speak. The shadow stays at the bottom, which you don’t see a lot of right now. Something slightly different which is nice.

For only $1 in the Play Store, you’ll get 650+ custom HD icons made at 144 x 144px, 9 HD wallpapers, a theme dashboard, icon request tool and frequent updates.

GolD&Dust by Dori Smith

Gold Dust Icon Banner

GoldD&Dust is of course very similar to Dori Smith’s first icon set, ChromeD&Dust, except the transparency has a gold tint to it. The transparency thing isn’t something you see much of it right now within icon packs, so this is good to see her making at least a couple of sets along the same lines.

The icons are transparent as you see, but with superb details in the actual app icons. Again, something you haven’t seen a lot of yet is the use of transparency, and I’m one who has a thing for transparency of any kind. Then add in the double gold rings around the edges, and GolD&Dust is an instant winner in my book. Expect to see more of this style from her very soon.

GolD&Dust can be yours for just $1.55 and it will net you 600+ custom made icons as well as the icon masking feature so all icons match. Plus you will have access to 25 HD wallpapers that are now included in the app as well as a full theme dashboard.

Balx by Andrea Corvi(DKSkarpia)

Balx Icon Banner

Andrea Corvi is someone whose work I follow pretty closely. Maybe because he makes a lot of round icons, and I’m guessing he knows that’ll get me to give him my money. Balx is no different in the sense that Andrea has created yet another round icon set. But Balx has a button’ish type feel to it as the icons have a bit of depth to them, a button like look almost.

For just $1.89 you will get 1,750+ custom made icons, full dashboard support and 40+ wallpapers as well. Plus you get full support for the Muzei Wallpaper app as well as the Behang Wallpaper app. Throw in a full theme dashboard and very regular updates, and this is a set you definitely need to have.

MagmaUI by Vishal Kashi(GFXDevs)

MagmaUI Banner

With MagmaUI you get an icon pack with an unusual color combination of orange, white and a charcoal gray and this is exactly what sets this icon apart from others. Vishal Kashi of GFX Devs has really created something different with MagmaUI and I think it’s something that everyone needs to be showing off on their homescreens.

You get over 1,000 custom made icons, 8 HD wallpapers, icon request tool, icon back and icon mask features as well as a full theme dashboard. And you get all of that and a bit more for just $1.37 which isn’t much for such a great icon pack.

Moreno by John Xionidis(Giannisgx89)

Moreno Icon Banner

John Xionidis has been around for quite a bit of time doing a lot of different things. His latest work, Moreno Icons is something different for him as he’s done a bit of iOS looking icon packs and things similar. Moreno is a nice squared icon set with rounded corners, something that’s become pretty popular over the last year or so. Throw in John’s attention to detail and unique custom icon designs, and you’ve got a great set.

One of the largest icon packs you’ll see with over 2,750 custom made icons, 21+ HD wallpapers, full theme dashboard, icon size of 192 x 192 pixels and dynamic calendar support makes $1.77 for this pack more than worth it in every way possible.

Meteor by Mohammed Musaddiq(GFXDevs)

Meteor Icon Banner

GFX Devs is a team of several guys making some awesome stuff, and Mohammed Musaddiq is another of their developers who’s making some nice icon packs.  The one I’m showing you today is called Meteor. Another round icon pack with a long shadow, except this time the long shadow is trailing behind the actual app icon, making it appear as if it’s a Meteor falling from the sky. Very unique and definitely something that catches the eye.

For the small fee of $1.50 you get 720+ HD icons sized at 192 x 192 pixels, cloud based HD wallpaper support, icon mask and icon back feature as well as an icon request tool. Not too shabby of a price for what you get plus throw in the detailed icons and this is a set worthy of purchasing today.

Naxos Flat Round by Morgan C & Francesco Santoro(Mowmo & Sainz)

Naxos Icon Banner
Next up is Naxos Flat Round, which is what I’m showing you, but Naxos also comes in two other styles including Naxos Taz and Naxos Flat(square icons) for those that like different shaped icons. Mowmo and Sainz have done an extremely awesome job with Naxos Flat Round by making a simple, clean, yet nice looking icon set. There’s not a lot of flashy stuff going on or anything like that, and you know, a minimal look every now and then is good to have.

You get 34+ HD wallpapers, 1,500+ HD icons, Muzei Wallpaper and Behang Wallpaper support. Plus you also get 4 launcher folder icons and 7 dock backgrounds for the amazing price of just $1.69. Also worth mentioning is the cloud wallpaper support, a clock widget and dynamic calendar icon support for those of you using Nova Launcher.

Sawyer by Nathaniel Webb(ArtVandelay440)

Sawyer Icon Banner

Nathaniel Webb aka ArtVandelay440, isn’t known for releasing a lot stuff frequently, yet the things he does release are usually superb. Sawyer is definitely no different in that aspect. And yes, as you see, I do like squared icons every now and then. Thanks to Sawyer and the awesome looking retro style look and triple stripe affect. If you’re a squared icon person instead of all the round stuff, I’d highly suggest throwing Sawyer(Not Tom Sawyer) at the top of your must have icon list.

Included in the set is 736 custom icons, icon mask and icon back features, 36 custom made HD wallpaper, Muzei and Behang Wallpaper support, built-in icon request tool and of course a full theme dashboard for an amazing low price of just $1.99.

Shapes And Shades by Manuel Labrador Vianthi(MLV)

ShapesAndShades Icon Banner

Icons using just the shape of the app icons themselves without a backing/background or anything like that are becoming more of a thing here lately and Manuel Labrador Vianthi has done a marvelous job making an icon set like that called Shapes And Shades. Throw in the basic Google colors as well as other bright, stand out colors and MLV has a great set going here.

Toss $1.79 his way in the Play Store and it’ll get you a whopping 1,770+ HD icons, 50+ HD wallpapers all made by MLV and of course Muzei support. Plus you can guarantee that Manuel will be updating this set on a very regular basis so that 1,770+ number is going to grow rapidly.

Refocus by Joshua Masih(XONYX)

Refocus Icon Banner

Usually I only do 10 icon sets, but this time I figured I’d give everyone a little bonus round if you will. And it comes in the form of a currently unreleased set of icons called Refocus by Joshua Masih. As you can see by the image above, similar look to Balx as far as shape and the 3D look. Yet Refocus is different by means of custom icons themselves. Joshua hits it out of the park with making your normal every day icons look completely different. You can notice by the screenshot below if you look at icons such as Google+, Hangouts, the Phone icon and many others.

As mentioned, this set is still currently in the works and not available on the Play Store, kind of. But trust in me to give you a way to get your hands on it. Joshua does have a Google+ beta testing community setup and you can ask to join that community. If he accepts you(and I’m sure he will) you can then join the beta program and purchase Refocus for a discounted price(99 cents I believe) and get your hands on this great set. Plus, once the icon pack has officially been released, you get all the updates without having to pay anymore money.

You can visit the community here: Refocus Google+ Community and click the button to ask to join and then probably wait a couple of hours or so and be granted permission to enter and get your download on.

Final Thoughts

Please note that these are some of my favorite icon packs currently and ones that I suggest everyone take a close look at. One thing I do ask is that if you purchase any or all of these from the Play Store, please make sure to leave a few words of encouragement for the developer praising them on their hard work that they have put into making these icons and making our mobile devices so amazing looking.

Also don’t forget to leave a 5-star rating. There’s really no reason why you shouldn’t as they all certainly deserve it. If you have any issues, please hit the Email Developer button near the bottom of the Play Store listing and I can almost guarantee you that you’ll get a response from the developer and they will help you in any way they possibly can as they want to earn that 5-star rating from you.

This is something that’s very important and it only encourages them to continue doing what they are doing to make our devices that much more awesome in the near future.

Let us know in the comments what you think of any or all of these icons and if you have some you’d like for us to showcase, let us know that too and we will certainly take a look at them.
