T-Mobile Sidekick Pricing Announced: $99.99 With A 2-Year Contract

All you former Teeny Boppers who set text messaging records on your old SideKicks can rejoice.  T-Mo has finally announced the pricing for it’s new Android powered SideKick successor.  T-Mobile’s Sidekick 4G is priced at $99.99 with a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in-rebate. With a reasonable price like that, it is sure to be a hit with the teen crowd that the handset is aimed at.  Engadget got their hands on one, and gave it some pretty fair reviews.  They did mention that there was some deep skinning on the phone, which of course means it is not a “vanilla” Android experience, but it was not expected to be.  The unit runs Android 2.2 out of the box, which is nice and has a full 5-row keypad which is also a refreshing addition.  It will be interesting to see how the first ever touchscreen SideKick sells!
